Veteran Nollywood Actor, Pete Edochie has criticized the act of having on one knee to advise marriage. The actor said the western lifestyle is inaccurate and it is not a lifestyle familiar in Igbo culture.
The actor explained that kneeling down in the front of a woman in Igbo lifestyle way turning in the authority to her. He stated it manner she would come to be the pinnacle of the family.
Edochie stated marriage in the Igbo subculture is whilst a woman offers her husband-to-be wine while kneeling down. He said this way of life signifies that the man has been typical via the woman as her husband.
Edochie stated that it’s far the girl that kneels before the husband, now not vice versa.
