While receiving the award, Kolade said, “I appreciate the institution for finding me worthy of this great honour. It is a clarion call for me to do more in preserving our rich culture. I am dedicating this award to my husband, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, and my children for their consistent support in making me achieve my dreams as a cultural ambassador. I won’t relent. I will keep doing my best to ensure we put out arts, culture and tradition on the world map.”
