‘She Was My Girlfriend At The Time’ – Kiddwaya Confirms Split From Erica
Former BBNaija lockdown housemate, Terseer Waya better known as Kiddwaya has confirmed that his relationship with co-star, Erica Nlewedim has ended.
The duo met at the fifth season of the reality TV show last year and hit it off a few weeks later.
After the show ended, they remained close with several pictures and photos of them together surfacing on the online. This led fans of the couple to believe that they were still in a relationship.
However, during an interview with The Punch in January 2021, Kiddwaya stated that he was still in search of love, saying;
I don’t think I have a love life. I think I have a life and I am trying to find love.
This caused a lot of confusion as he and Erica have been spotted in many places acting like lovers, and at some point traveled to Sierra Leone together.
However, in a Question and Answer session with his fans on Instagram, Kiddwaya gave an explanation as to why he gave such an answer.
Can you tell us what you mean in your Punch interview about not having a love life?
Kiddwaya responding to the question, he described Erica as his “girlfriend at the time”, implying that they are no longer a couple.
The son of Billionaire, Terry Waya said he made the statement about being single to the publication because he wanted to keep their relationship private.
He expressed;
I feel like I need to explain myself here. So listen up carefully. She was my girlfriend at that time and I didn’t want people to be too involved. I wanted it to be private involved that’s why I said what I said. And sadly my words got twisted and it brought a lot of drags! Positive vibes from now pls.
Kiddwaya’s statement comes a few days after Erica endorsed a tweet by her fan, Don Mike, which states she has no business with Kiddwaya.
Don Mike wrote;
Let’s be clear. Erica has no business with him. Stop linking her with him or whatever he does.
Erica, also known as Star Girl, clearly endorsed the post by liking it.
The two kicked off one of the most admired and celebrated relationships ever since the inception of BBNaija.
Many fans believed they were a match made in heaven and coined a name for the couple – Kiddrica, which is a combination of Kidd and Rica (from Erica’s name) in anticipation of a wedding ceremony.

Even Kiddwaya’s father himself consented to his relationship with Erica. Terry had in an interview said if they got married, he would hold two luxury Versace themed wedding for them.
After the show, Erica also met with Kiddwaya’s mother, Susan. Sadly, it appears that no wedding ceremony should be expected between the two reality TV star.
