10 Police Officers Injured In Accident Involving Bauchi Gov’s Convoy
Ten policemen attached to the convoy of Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State have escaped death after being involved in a car crash on Monday, March 1.
According to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the accident occurred while the governor was inspecting a 60-kilometre road project in Tafawa Balewa Local Government Area (LGA).
The road is designed to connect the residents of Tafawa Balewa LGA to Yelwan Duguri and the environs of Alkaleri Local Government Area of the state.
A NAN Correspondent who witnessed the accident, said the Toyota Hilux conveying the police officers veered off the road around 1:30 p.m and somersaulted twice.
The source stated that the vehicle lost control as a result of the huge dust that made visibility almost impossible.
Although no life was lost, at least 10 police personnel involved in the accident had been taken to Bununu general hospital in Tafawa Balewa LGA for treatment.
