Samuel Banks Laments Losing ₦3.7 Million iPhone at Luli Concert
Popular Nigerian socialite and influencer Samuel Banks has taken to social media to express his frustration after losing his ₦3.7 million iPhone during the recently held Luli Concert.
The annual event, which attracts thousands of music lovers and celebrities, took an unpleasant turn for Samuel Banks when his high-end smartphone reportedly went missing in the crowd.
In a post shared on his Instagram story, the influencer revealed that he felt deeply disappointed, not just because of the financial loss, but also due to the sentimental value the phone held.
“I can’t even explain how I feel right now. That phone had everything — memories, projects, and important files. Losing it at the Luli concert hurts so much,” he wrote.
The Luli Concert, known for celebrating gospel and inspirational music, drew huge attendance this year with performances from top Nigerian acts. However, the massive turnout also led to complaints from some attendees about overcrowding and poor security coordination.
Fans have since reacted to Samuel Banks’ post with mixed opinions. While many sympathized with him, others questioned why he took such an expensive device to a crowded concert venue.
Some online users even advised him to install tracking apps or use iCloud security features to locate the missing device.
As of now, Samuel Banks has not confirmed whether any progress has been made in recovering the phone. The incident has, however, reignited conversations about security at Nigerian concerts and the need for better event management to prevent similar occurrences.
