Davido Condemns Kebbi School Abduction and Kwara Church Attack, Calls for Unity and Action
Nigerian music star Davido has issued a heartfelt response to two recent tragedies: the abduction of 25 schoolgirls in Kebbi State and a deadly church attack in Kwara State. The singer expressed deep sorrow and called for national solidarity, insisting that such violence must never become a normal part of life.
In a statement shared on his social media, Davido said,
“My heart goes out to the young girls kidnapped in Kebbi State and to their families. No family deserves this pain.”
He urged Nigerians to stand together toward a country where every child can grow up in safety and hope.
Addressing the Kwara church attack, Davido described the violence as “tragic” and called for stronger security measures. He offered prayers for the families who lost loved ones and lauded ongoing efforts to rescue those still missing.
Beyond his sympathy, the singer made a powerful appeal for public cooperation, asking anyone with credible information to come forward to help with rescue operations.
He also issued a stern warning to those sponsoring insecurity in the country:
“These acts of violence must never become our norm … May every sponsor of violence and disorder be held to account.”
