Nnamdi Kanu: All Hope Not Lost — Senator Orji Uzor Kalu Assures Supporters
Former Abia State governor and current senator, Orji Uzor Kalu, has reassured supporters of detained IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu that “all hope is not lost.” Speaking during a recent interaction, Kalu urged the public to remain calm while emphasising that discussions are still ongoing at various levels to ensure a peaceful and lawful resolution to the situation.
Kalu, who has maintained interest in the matter over time, explained that sensitive national issues often require patience, diplomacy, and structured dialogue. He noted that the government is aware of the concerns surrounding Kanu’s detention and stressed the importance of approaching the matter in a way that promotes unity and stability. According to him, the nation’s leaders are working behind the scenes to explore options that could help bring lasting peace to the South-East region.
The senator also appealed to the public to avoid actions that could escalate tensions, urging them instead to trust the process while emphasising that justice and national security must be balanced. His remarks have renewed conversations about Kanu’s case, the state of security in the region, and the prospects of a negotiated settlement that addresses long-standing grievances.
