Riley Moore Warns NSA Ribadu, Defence Chief Oluyede, IGP Egbetokun Over Failure to Protect Christians

U.S. politician and public advocate Riley Moore has raised serious concerns about the rising attacks on Christians in Nigeria, issuing a stern warning to the country’s top security officials. In a strongly worded statement, Moore said he has already warned National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, Chief of Defence Staff General Christopher Musa Oluyede, and Inspector-General of Police Kayode Egbetokun about the consequences of failing to protect Christian communities across the country.

Moore stressed that global attention is increasingly focused on Nigeria’s human rights and religious freedom records, noting that persistent violence against Christian populations could trigger diplomatic, political, and economic repercussions. According to him, world leaders and international organisations are closely monitoring the situation, and Nigeria’s security agencies must demonstrate stronger commitment, intelligence coordination, and proactive measures to curb attacks.

He further urged Nigerian authorities to show transparency and accountability in ongoing investigations, emphasizing that citizens must feel safe regardless of religion or region. His remarks have added international pressure to an already sensitive issue, sparking renewed debate about security reforms, religious tolerance, and the responsibility of Nigeria’s leadership in safeguarding vulnerable communities.
