Anne Hathaway Reveals She Was “Half Blind” for 10 Years
Hollywood actress Anne Hathaway has revealed that she struggled with serious vision problems for nearly 10 years due to an early-onset cataract.
Speaking during an interview on Popcast by The New York Times, the Oscar-winning actress disclosed that she was “half blind” throughout most of her 30s because the condition severely affected her left eye.
According to Hathaway, the cataract damaged her vision so badly that she became legally blind in her left eye before eventually undergoing corrective surgery around the age of 40.
The actress explained that she did not fully realize how serious the condition had become until after the successful operation restored her sight.
Hathaway described the experience as life-changing, saying she now appreciates her vision more deeply and considers being able to see clearly a “miracle.”
The revelation has sparked widespread reactions online, with fans praising the actress for continuing her successful career despite silently dealing with the condition for years.
