Veteran gospel filmmaker and founder of Mount Zion Faith Ministries, Mike Bamiloye, has officially announced the release date for Agbara Nla: The Return, the highly anticipated remake of his 1993 Christian movie classic Agbara Nla. The film is scheduled to premiere in cinemas nationwide on October 1, 2026.
The announcement has sparked excitement among fans who grew up watching the original production, which became one of Nigeria’s most influential faith-based movies. Bamiloye shared the news alongside the film’s teaser, revealing that the remake has been upgraded with modern production quality while retaining its core message of spiritual warfare and divine power.
Agbara Nla—also known as The Ultimate Power in its English version—gained widespread popularity across Nigeria and beyond in the 1990s. The film told the story of a village plagued by dark spiritual forces and the triumph of God’s power through faith and evangelism.
