DJ Jimmy Jatt, 9ice, African China, Sir Shina Peters Set for UK Rewind Concert
Nigerian music legends DJ Jimmy Jatt, 9ice, African China and Sir Shina Peters are set to take over London as part of the upcoming Rewind UK Tour, bringing together some of the most recognisable sounds and personalities from Nigeria’s golden era of popular music.
The concert is scheduled for Saturday, October 17, 2026, at Grand Empire, 108–110 Rushey Green, Catford, London, with the event set to begin at 8pm.
Billed around the theme “The Legends Are Back,” the Rewind UK Tour is designed to give Nigerian music lovers in the diaspora an opportunity to reconnect with songs and artistes that dominated the country’s entertainment scene in the late 1990s and 2000s.
DJ Jimmy Jatt, regarded as one of Nigeria’s most influential DJs, will lead the musical experience, while the lineup brings together artistes from different corners of the Nigerian music landscape.
9ice is expected to deliver some of the indigenous Yoruba-infused records that helped establish his place in Nigerian pop music, while African China will revisit songs from his catalogue, including the socially conscious records that made him a prominent voice during the 2000s.
Juju music veteran Sir Shina Peters adds another dimension to the concert, bringing his energetic Afro-Juju sound to the London stage.
The organisers are positioning the concert as more than a regular live music event. It is designed around nostalgia, familiar records and the shared memories attached to Nigerian music from previous decades.
The concept follows the success of earlier Rewind events in Nigeria, where Yaw Naija TV and DJ Jimmy Jatt brought together established artistes whose music helped shape Nigeria’s entertainment culture.
The previous Rewind Flashback Concert featured names including D’banj, 9ice, Sir Shina Peters, African China, J.Martins, Styl Plus and several other acts from different eras of Nigerian music.
For Nigerians and other African music lovers in the United Kingdom, the London show offers an opportunity to experience some of the country’s classic records in a live setting.
The event listing promises performances, dancing and a celebration of the sounds that created lasting memories for an entire generation. The London edition is scheduled to run from 8pm until 2am.
Tickets listed for the London event start from £50, with premium seating and table packages also available.
