Nigerian award-winning singer, Yemi Alade has shared the story of how her mother sacrificed a lot for her education.
The “Shekere” singer took to her Instagram page to share a photo of herself with her mum in Trafalgar Square, London and wrote about how her mother sacrificed a lot for her while she was growing up. Yemi revealed that London is more than a city to her family as 20 years ago, her mother once sold her economy ticket just to pay her primary 6 school fees. She added that today, they fly business class.
She wrote: London is more than just a City to my family, it Marks a time in our lives(20yrs ago) when mum had to sell her Economy class ticket to pay my Primary 6 school fees. Today we Fly Business Class! #Next Stop #amsterdam??
