According to Layefa Ebitonmo, I spent N2.1 million for BBL in 2022. She relates her story.
Layefa Ebitonmo, a lifestyle and beauty blogger, opened up about her personal experience getting a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), a common cosmetic treatment that transfers fat to the buttocks to improve body form. In a video posted to her YouTube account, the vocal content creator talked about her experience, clearing up any misunderstandings, family responses, and the healing process.Ebitonmo disclosed that the cost of her 2022 operation was ₦2.1 million. She remained steadfast in her choice in spite of early reservations from family members.
If my family didn’t want me to do anything, I didn’t mind too much. For my own benefit, I wanted to do it. And I succeeded. I made the choice. Am I a kid? She stated,
emphasizing her autonomy.
She also shared emotional moments from her recovery, recalling how her mother was deeply worried about her well-being.
My mother used to phone the hospital every day. She would inquire, “Is she okay?” every two seconds. She yelled, “Jesus!” when she phoned me and noticed blood on my neck. I am currently traveling to Lagos.
She dispelled misconceptions about the treatment, especially the idea that it has an impact on fertility, while admitting that the post-surgery period can be difficult.
It’s a common misperception that completing BBL will prevent one from becoming a parent. I can say that I performed my research on that one topic.
Ebitonmo’s candor contributes to the expanding discussion about personal preferences, physical modification techniques, and how society views beauty.
