Adekunle Gold kicks as critic calls him ‘ugly’
The Nigerian singer and songwriter, has responded to a critic who made a snide comment about his physical appearance.The critic, identified as Dami Foreign on X, shared a throwback photograph of Adekunle and his wife Simi and questioned how he managed to win her heart despite being “broke and ugly”.Gold rose to fame on the back of his hit song ‘Sade’ and a high-life cover of One Direction’s ‘Story of My Life’ in 2015. The singer has received numerous awards and recognition for his craft. He was signed to YBNL, a record label owned by Olamide in 2015 but exited in 2022. In March 2023, he was signed to Def Jam Recordings. He also owns a record label called Afro Urban Records.

However, the ‘Party No Dey Stop’ hitmaker responded, quoting the post with a simple caption: “I was never ugly”.
Gold and Simi tied the knot in 2018 and welcomed their first child in June 2020.
