Ancelotti Sets New Champions League Final Record

Italian coach Carlo has set a new UEFA final record after leading Real Madrid to beat Bayern Munich in Wednesday’s semi-final at the Bernabeu.

Two late goals from substitute Joselu saw Madrid come from a goal down to beat Bayern 2-1.

Alphonso Davies had given Bayern the lead with a brilliant strike.

The LaLiga giants progressed 4-3 on aggregate after holding Bayern to a 2-2 draw in the first leg at the Allianz Arena.

Madrid’s qualification means Ancelotti is the first coach in UEFA Champions League history to reach six finals.

He led AC Milan to three finals in 2003, 2005 and 2007.

The Italian champions won the competition in 2003 and 2007 and lost 2005.

In 2014 and 2022 he guided Madrid to the final which they emerged champions on both occasions.
