APC Will Take Over Anambra After Soludo — Ex–Awka PG Predicts
A former President-General of Awka has predicted that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will take over Anambra State after the administration of Governor Chukwuma Soludo.
Speaking on recent political developments in the state, the former community leader expressed confidence that changing political alignments and growing dissatisfaction among voters could favour the APC in the post-Soludo era. He argued that the party is gradually strengthening its grassroots presence across Anambra.
According to him, the current political landscape presents opportunities for the APC to reposition itself as a viable alternative ahead of future elections. He noted that internal reorganisation, increased engagement with local stakeholders, and national influence could play a key role in the party’s prospects in the state.
The ex–Awka PG also pointed to voter expectations around governance, economic development, and security as factors that may shape political outcomes in Anambra once Soludo’s tenure ends. He added that Anambra politics remains dynamic and unpredictable, making future contests highly competitive.
The statement has sparked reactions among political observers and party supporters, with some agreeing that Anambra’s political terrain is evolving, while others maintain that the state’s long-standing political culture could resist a shift in power.
As conversations around future leadership continue, the comment adds to growing speculation about party strategies and alliances ahead of the next electoral cycle in Anambra State.
