At 60, I have no regrets – Obesere
Obesere, also known as Abass Akande, is a Fuji music singer who recently turned 60. In an interview with Saturday Beats, the “Egungun Be Careful” superstar said he has no regrets at this age.
“There is nothing that I wish I had done differently,” he remarked. I have no regrets at all; it’s all part of God’s plan. I think I’m still flying high. I haven’t even begun yet.
Regarding the professional accomplishment of which he is most proud, Obesere remarked, “There are a lot of accomplishments that I can’t even mention.” Is it the kids that God gave me and enabled me to pay for their overseas education? Or me, to whom God granted a second citizenship overseas? or God’s gifts of homes and other investments me? There are lots of achievements. I can’t mention enough, really. All I can say is I thank my creator and my star.”
“I am working on a biography and documentary,” he said in response to a question about whether he was writing a biography to chronicle his legacy. By God’s grace, it will emerge. I believe that the next generation should take some inspiration from my story. For this reason, Wisdom Compound is clearly emblazoned on one of my homes. I have a lot of advice to share from my life, profession, and travels.
