BABA KUBOYE Nominated For Grammy’s Awards

 

 

Nigerian Born International Contemporary Afrobeat super star, gets his first Grammy Nomination for his contributions in “THE FURY”, album by Antonio Vergara. The album is nominated in the “Best Contemporary Blues Album” category.

Baba Kuboye is an Afrobeat artist with ties to legendary Fela and the son of jazz legend Fran & Tunde. He grew up in Lagos before relocating to America.

Babatunmida Kuboye grew up watching both of his parents play jazz, perform and this was the foundation he leveraged on to learn, build and become the world star he is today, his unique contributions to “The Fury” by Antonio Vergara is a sign that his unique style is recognized and he is doing things in the right direction, his sounds and inspirations can be attributed to his environment and upbringing.

Baba Kuboye plays Saxophone and also does spoken words, with midtempo rhythmic beats that passes relatable messages and gets you moving. This nomination and world recognition will push Baba Kuboye to doing more and we are anticipating more of his works in 2025.
