Bayern: We Still Want Hudson-Odoi
Bayern Munich’s sporting director, Hassan Salihamidzic insists the club are convinced of Callum Hudson-Odoi’s ability and are keen on signing him.
The England u-19 international has been a subject of rejected bids from the German outfit. Chelsea are currently stalling on a £35 million bid from the Bavarians, as they are hoping to keep the winger.
Maurizio Sarri has issued a hands-off warning to Bayern, saying they will be reported to FIFA if they’re approach turns to a “tapping up”.
Salihamidzic says the Bavarian side are not giving up on landing their top target just yet, despite Chelsea’s attempts to discourage them.
“We want to sign the player,” he told Sport Bild. “I am fully convinced of his abilities. We are in talks with Chelsea.”
He added: “But we have many leaders in our team. That’s why it would not be a problem if no player arrived in January. We have to find a good mix between young talents and experienced leaders who carry the team.”
