Beyoncé’s “The Gift” Album Features Wizkid, Yemi Alade, Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage & Tekno
Last week, Disney announced that Beyoncé has curated and produced an album titled “The Lion King: The Gift” set for release the same date “The Lion King” hits cinemas – July 19th. The LP was said to feature global recording artists and “steeped in the sounds of Africa”.
The tracklist has been released and it has featured a number of Nigerian stars.
Burna Boy, Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Mr Eazi, Yemi Alade, Tekno are the Nigerian artists who will be featured on the album. Ghanaian dancehall star Shatta Wale, and South Africa’s Busiswa and Moonchild Sanelly are also featured on the album. Blue Ivy, Jay-Z, Pharell, Childish Gambino, Kendrick Lamar are also on the album.
Beyoncé will be voicing Nala, the lion who becomes queen, in the live adaption of the Disney classic which also stars Donald Glover, James Earl Jones, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Billy Eichner, Seth Rogen, Alfre Woodard and John Oliver.
