Former presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) met with former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Monday.

In the capital of Ogun State, Abeokuta, Atiku led a delegation to meet with Obasanjo at the former Nigerian leader’s home.As of press time, the meeting’s agenda remained unknown, but it coincides with opposition lawmakers’ aspirations to devise plans for forming an alliance against the All Progressives Congress (APC) and winning the 2027 presidential election.

Alongside the former vice president were Senator Aminu Tambuwal, a former governor of Sokoto State, and Liyel Imoke, a former governor of Cross River State.

Atiku recently visited Peter Obi, a former presidential contender for the Labour Party (LP), at his home in Adamawa State.
