BREAKING!! Leicester City Appoints Brendan Rodgers As New Manager
Leicester City have confirmed the appointment of Brendan Rodgers as their new manager until June 2022.
The Northern Irishman is back in the Premier League after almost three years at Celtic, where he won seven trophies and has the club on track for a third successive domestic treble.
Sky Sports News understands Rodgers informed Celtic’s players on Monday afternoon that he was leaving, having also told the board of his desire to join Leicester.
Rodgers’ first game in charge will be Sunday’s game against his former club Watford, live on Sky Sports Premier League.
Chris Davies will be Rodgers’ assistant manager at the King Power Stadium, with Kolo Toure a first-team coach.
“I know I’m joining a fantastic club that has grown so quickly over these last few years,” Rodgers told LCFC TV.
“I’m just delighted to be here. I think there was a number of reasons [why I joined]. I was certainly in no hurry to leave Celtic.
“Celtic is a club that’s a huge club worldwide, a renowned club, and I loved working with the players there.
