Breaking: Tinubu names a media assistant for Atiku’s old spokesman
Mr. Daniel Bwala, a former Atiku Campaign spokesperson, was appointed by President Bola Tinubu on Thursday as his Special Adviser, Media and Public Communications (State House).
Three other people were also named directors-general of other agencies by him.
In a statement headed “President Tinubu Appoints Three Directors-General And One Special Adviser On Public Communication,” which he signed on Thursday, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, disclosed this information.
They are Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser, Media and Public Communications (State House); Dr. Abisoye Fagade, Director-General, National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism; Dr. Adebowale Adedokun, Director-General, Bureau of Public Procurement; and Mr. Olawale Olopade, Director-General, National Sports Commission.
Bwala is “a lawyer and notable public affairs analyst,” according to the Presidency.
The National Sports Commission’s new director-general, Olopade, has years of experience as a sports administrator.
In addition to being the chairman of the local organizing committee for the 2024 National Sports Festival, he was Ogun State’s commissioner of youth and sports.
Dr. Abisoye Fagade, a marketing communication specialist, has been appointed the new Director-General of the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism. He founded Sodium Brand Solutions and serves as its managing director.
Prior to his nomination as the new head of the Bureau of Public Procurement, Adedokun served as the director of the bureau’s Research/Training and Strategic Planning division.
“The newly appointed officers are urged by the President to carry out their responsibilities with excellence, devotion, and patriotism,” the statement said.
