Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s book “Dream Count” will be available for purchase on March 4th, book lovers.
The cover for Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s much awaited book “Dream Count,” which is scheduled for release on March 4, 2025, has been unveiled, more than ten years after the publication of her previous book, “Americanah.”
The book’s cover, which features silver stars, a lone home, and a tree against a background of night, gives an indication of the novel’s emotional depth. Chimamanda initially hinted at the news of “Dream Count” in October 2024.
Four Nigerian women—Chiamaka, Zikora, Omelogor, and Kadiatou—are followed in “Dream Count” as they negotiate the intricacies of identity, love, and desire throughout the pandemic.
Nigerian travel writer Chiamaka considers her past loves and her decisions while residing in the United States. A successful lawyer and Chiamaka’s closest friend, Zikora, experiences a terrible betrayal and has to face the unforeseen difficulties of her new life. Omelogor, Chiamaka’s vocal cousin and a major figure in Nigerian finance, starts to doubt all of her self-perceptions. In the meantime, Chiamaka’s housekeeper, Kadiatou, who has sacrificed much to raise her daughter in America, is confronted with an unfathomable adversity that jeopardizes everything she has worked so hard to achieve.
In addition to telling the tale of these ladies, Chimamanda poses the more general queries: Is it ever possible to achieve true happiness? To love and be loved, how sincere must we be with ourselves?
