Actor Columbus Irisoanga of “Issakaba” has passed away.

The legendary Nigerian actor Columbus Irisoanga, who starred in the 2001 movie “Issakaba,” has passed away.
His colleague Hilda Dokubo posted a tribute to Irisoanga on Instagram on Thursday, announcing his passing.

She questioned whether “heaven could be running short on angels” in response to the frequent deaths of loved ones.

Dokubo lamented Irisoanga’s death as a major setback to Rivers state actors and referred to him as a “angel.”

Since so few of us are called home here, there must be an abundance of angels in heaven, right? “Uniport Rivers State Nollywood is heavily impacted by this one,” she wrote.

“Coli @colu_mbusirisoanga, our uncle, has departed to be with the Lord. “Eh dein na mu ikoli.”
Originally from Okrika, Rivers portrayed Igbudu, the strong head priest, in the 2001 Nollywood blockbuster film Isakaba.

He was a senior lecturer at the University of Port Harcourt in addition to being an actor. In the Department of Theatre Arts, he instructed students in acting.

Irisoanga graduated from the University of Port Harcourt with a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, and doctorate.

For his work, he has won numerous honors and recognitions.

Irisoanga’s death date and cause are still unknown. Actress Pat Ugwu passed away not long after he did.
