Osita Okechukwu, chief general of Voice of Nigeria (VON), has apparently been kept by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Okechukwu, as indicated by ChannelsTV, showed up at the EFCC base camp in Abuja around 1:30 pm on Saturday, following an invitation in regards to an instance of supposed intrigue, maltreatment of office and misappropriation of public assets.

He is supposed to go through inquiries for purportedly stealing N1.3 billion.

As of the hour of this report, he was as yet in the guardianship of the EFCC.

Wilson Uwujaren, EFCC representative, affirmed that the VON DG was welcomed by the commission.
