The Blues (Chelsea) have won their last four matches in the league, moving to fourth position. Meanwhile, the host Southampton have dropped to thirteenth on the table, following six straight loses in the English Premier League (EPL).

The last time the Saints (Southampton) were victorious in a match in the EPL was against Liverpool – 1-0, they have gone on a six-match losing streak.

Ralph Hasenhuttl’s boys looked like they were going to challenge for a Europa league spot at the early stages of the League but a poor run of form has seen them go down 11 points behind sixth placed Liverpool. They are four points below seventh placed Newcastle.

Meanwhile, the Blues (Chelsea) have won five of their last six matches, including straight victories against Burnley, Tottenham Hotspur, Sheffield United and Newcastle.

Their excellent form has seen them move to fourth position, level on points with West Ham United. They are two-points clear of Liverpool, who rest in the sixth place.

The Blues only have the seventh best away record in the premier league this team, winning 6 out of 12 matches, but they have won at Tottenham and Sheffield United since Tuchel’s arrival.

They will be facing Atletico Madrid in the first leg of the round-16 of UEFA Champions league on February 23, before they host Manchester United in Stamford bridge stadium next weekend.

Team News:

The Saints will be without Kyle Walker-Peters and the club’s manager, Ralph Hasenhüttl said he would be out for few weeks over his muscle injury.

Walker-Peters was forced off during the 2-1 Premier League defeat by Wolves, having only just returned from a thigh injury.

Meanwhile, Ibrahim Diallo and Theo Walcott remained side lined for the match,

For the Blues, Tammy Abraham is a slight doubt for the game, after he suffered an ankle injury in the game against Newcastle and was replaced by Oliver Giroud.

Thiago Silva and Kia Havertz were both in training on Thursday, but are doubts for the team.
