HEIGHTENED TENSION! Sergio Ramos And Marcelo CLASH In Training
It has been widely reported that out-of-favour defender Marcelo and captain Sergio Ramos clashed during a training session in the build-up to Real Madrid’s LaLiga clash on Sunday night.
The mood in the Los Blancos camp appears to be dull at the moment, with Real having crashed out of both the Copa del Rey and UEFA Champions League in the past week and a half.
As a consequence, manager Santiago Solari’s future at the club seems to be uncertain, as is the futures of a few first-team players, including Marcelo.
The Brazilian has been reduced to a bench role under the Argentine boss, with reports suggesting the left-back will be off to Juventus at the end of the season.
Those rumours might pick up even more following what is believed to have happened on Saturday, during a training session ahead of Real’s 4-1 away win over Real Valladolid on Sunday.
According to Marca, Marcelo and his long-time teammate and friend Ramos were involved in a heated exchange at the club’s Valdebebas training ground after the Selecao international reportedly celebrated his training side’s victory by insulting their opposition.
Ramos, who was on the other team, was said to have taken offence to what Marcelo said and could not disguise his anger.
Teammates were forced to step in to stop the altercation from escalating, although their disagreement did not look like turning physical.
While the skipper was unavailable for Real on Sunday night due to suspension, Marcelo was only used as an 89th substitute.
