Hon shete sends ramadan message
My dear brothers and sisters,
I want to take a moment to reflect on the significance of this special time for our community, and to speak to you as a politician.
Ramadan is a time of reflection, self-discipline, and spiritual renewal. As it is stated in the Holy Quran, “O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous” (2:183).
It is a time for us to come together in prayer, fasting, and acts of charity, and to remember the blessings that we have been given. Allah (SWT) says in the Quran, “And seek help through patience and prayer, and indeed, it is difficult except for the humbly submissive [to Allah]” (2:45).
As a politician, I recognize the important role that Ramadan plays in our community. It is a time for us to strengthen our relationships with each other and to build a sense of unity and solidarity that transcends our differences. The Quran reminds us, “And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided” (3:103).
It is also a time for us to reflect on the challenges that we face as a community, and to renew our commitment to addressing them. As we fast and pray, we must also remember the struggles of those who are less fortunate than ourselves, and work to alleviate their suffering. Allah (SWT) says in the Quran, “And they give food in spite of love for it to the needy, the orphan, and the captive” (76:8).
As a politician, I am committed to working with members of the community to address these challenges. Whether it is through improving access to healthcare, promoting economic opportunity, or strengthening our education system, I am dedicated to working towards a brighter future for all members of our community.
But I also recognize that there is much work to be done, and that we cannot do it alone. We must come together as a community, across all lines of race, religion, and ethnicity, to work towards a better future for ourselves and our children.
During this month of Ramadan, I urge you all to take time to reflect on what we can do as individuals and as a community to make a positive difference in the world. Let us renew our commitment to compassion, kindness, and understanding, and work towards a brighter future for all.
May Allah bless you all during this holy month, and may our prayers be accepted. Ramadan Kareem.
