How Much RAM Will the iPhone 18 Pro Have
Industry analysts and multiple reports strongly suggest that the iPhone 18 Pro will come with 12 GB of RAM when it ships, most likely in September 2026 alongside the rest of the iPhone 18 Pro lineup. This follows from predictions by noted Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo and other supply-chain experts, who say Apple plans to use 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM in all of its flagship iPhone 18 models including the Pro, Pro Max, and even the foldable iPhone.
This would match the current RAM configuration of the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, both of which also offer 12 GB of memory and it’s also possible that even the base iPhone 18 could bump up to 12 GB, eliminating the previous gap where base models had less RAM.
Another interesting detail in these rumors is how Apple might implement that memory: instead of having the RAM chips sit beside the processor package, Apple is reportedly planning to integrate the RAM directly onto the A20 Pro chip’s wafer alongside the CPU, GPU, and neural engine a design that could improve performance and efficiency, especially for AI-related tasks.
