‘I Am So Grateful’ – Tiger Woods Says As He Returns Home From Hospital After Horror Car Crash
Golf star, Tiger Woods has returned home from the hospital after he was left with multiple leg injuries in last month’s horrific car crash in Los Angeles.
Woods, a 15-time Major winner, suffered injuries including two open fractures and a shattered ankle, and had to have his right leg put back together with a metal rod, pins and screws.
The 45-year-old golfer underwent surgery on open fractures to his lower right leg and further injuries to his foot and ankle following the crash.
In a statement on Twitter, Woods paid a special tribute to the medical staff that treated him and revealed his recovery will continue at home.
He stated;
Happy to report that I am back home and continuing my recovery. I am so grateful for the outpouring of support and encouragement that I have received over the past few weeks.
Thank you to the incredible surgeons, doctors, nurses and staff at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. You have all taken such great care of me and I cannot thank you enough. I will be recovering at home and working on getting stronger every day.

Woods’ SUV car went off a Los Angeles county road and crashed on a downhill stretch known for wrecks.
The first deputy on the scene, Carlos Gonzalez, said Woods was able to talk to him and answer basic questions.
Woods later told authorities he did not know how the collision occurred and didn’t remember driving.
He was extricated from the wreck and transported to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center with serious, but non-life threatening injuries. The athlete was however later moved to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles – a level one trauma centre known for rehabbing athletes.
The Florida resident was in Southern California to shoot a project with Golf Digest and GOLFTV after hosting the PGA Tour’s Genesis Invitational.
The car crash rocked the world of golf, with many players choosing to wear Woods’s signature red and black for the final round of WGC-Workday Championship, five days after the 45-year-old’s accident. Woods later thanked the players for the “touching” gesture.
Many golf fans are hoping that his recovering his quick and it’s not career-threatening.
