Iyabo Ojo, Nollywood actress, is accused of killing Mohbad.
According to Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, some people have accused her of killing the late Nigerian musician Mohbad, whose real name was Ilerioluwa Aloba.
The actress said this on the “Glass House” podcast with Nigerian comedian AY,
Despite her sincere desire to secure justice for the late music icon, Iyabo Ojo claimed she was also charged with exploiting Mohbad’s passing to gain influence.
They were even suggesting that I might have killed Mohbad, she said. When Mohbad passed away, I wasn’t present. He and I weren’t close. I didn’t know him all that well.
“I met him at the One Africa music festival.” During our little time together, I only knew that he was a cool boy who was performing his music and going through his own thing.
“Why was I fighting for his body to be exhumed for an autopsy if I killed him? They claimed that I had once received payment [for my activism in securing justice for Mohbad]. They said that I was seeking a political job.
They even claimed that I was using it to gain influence. I’ve been the subject of a lot of statements. However, that isn’t the case, therefore I’m not bothered. I only assisted in pursuing justice for the deceased.
