Jude Okoye – Says Artistes Relying On Shows To Survive Should Brace Themselves For The Long Holiday
It is no longer news that the pandemic has affected the entertainment industry. Music acts like Davido, Teni, Zlatan and a host of others have had to cancel shows both internationally and locally due to safety reasons with the hope that once it all ends, they would get back on stage.
However, things have gotten much worse since the virus came to be as more deaths have been recorded with in the past few weeks. The Nigerian government like many others in the world has taken a bold step to curb further spread of the disease by extending the lockdown for another two weeks.
Jude Okoye has taken to Twitter to urge artistes who rely on shows to brace themselves for the long holiday. He added that with the way things are, there may never be any show/concert till there is a cure for the virus. He wrote: They way things are, there may never be any show/concert till there’s vaccine for covid19.As an artiste, if your income is based mostly on shows, brace yourself for the long hols.
