Producer and actress Jumoke Odetola has expressed regret about the status of social media today, pointing out that “clout chasing” is rampant and that users lack emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and common sense.She turned to her faith and prayed for the ability to ignore negativity, stay calm, and not waste time on things that don’t affect her.
Odetola explained in an Instagram post how it might be mentally taxing to engage with people who don’t possess these attributes.
She also mentioned how tired she is of being embarrassed by people she doesn’t know or interact with.
“Clout chasing is the new currency in this age and time, and many people do not even know where and when to draw the line,” she wrote.if you still possess self-awareness, social awareness, emotional intelligence, and common sense. You probably aren’t aware of your blessings. Ironically, it’s a blessing in disguise because people who don’t possess these fundamental traits can be really annoying.
