Management of Actor Zubby Michael Hit on Set, Godwin Nnadiekwe, Shares Update on His Health
Nollywood actor Godwin Nnadiekwe has provided an update on his health following an on-set incident where he was kicked in the chest by senior colleague Zubby Michael during filming. The unexpected action, which was not part of the original script, led to Nnadiekwe being hospitalized with internal bleeding. His management revealed that he had previously sustained a chest injury in December 2023 due to a gym accident, which had required a two-month recovery period.
In a statement, Nnadiekwe’s team emphasized the importance of caution during filming, noting that actions, even if unintentional, can have serious consequences. They urged colleagues to be considerate, as one might not be aware of underlying health issues others may be battling.
The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has stepped in, with President Emeka Rollas assuring that the matter is under investigation and will be handled appropriately. Meanwhile, Zubby Michael has not publicly addressed the incident but is reportedly planning to celebrate his birthday in Cotonou, amid ongoing discussions about the on-set event.
