Manchester City Agree £41m Deal With Bournemouth For Nathan Ake
Manchester City have agreed a £41million ($53 million) fee with Bournemouth to sign defender Nathan Ake.
The deal is worth a guaranteed £40million to the relegated Bournemouth, potentially rising by a further £1million.
This was revealed by respected Italian sports journalist, Fabrizio Romano, via his Twitter feed on Thursday morning.
Romano tweeted;
Man City have found an agreement to sign Nathan Aké from Bournemouth. €43M will be the fee – paperworks time to complete the deal. Pep wants him after problems for Koulibaly (Man City are still angry with Napoli because of Jorginho/Chelsea deal two years ago).
Ake’s likely arrival at the Etihad Stadium comes after City endured a poor season defensively following the departure of Vincent Kompany to Anderlecht last year.
Holland international Ake has been a standout performer at the Vitality Stadium since joining from Chelsea for a reported £20million in 2017. He had previously been on loan to Bournemouth.
The 25-year-old had been one of Bournemouth’s best players since joining from Chelsea in 2017.
Ake, capped 13 times by the Netherlands, missed Bournemouth’s final three Premier League fixtures after suffering a groin injury in 4-1 win over Leicester on July 12.
