Barcelona ace, Lionel Messi has said that he will retire from football when his contract ends with the Catalan club.
Messi signed a mega new contract last season, meaning he will be at the Nou Camp until 2021 at least.
The 31-year-old on Sunday made history in his side’s 8-2 thrashing of Huesca in the La Liga.
The Argentine captain has now sparked fears of his retirement by saying he may go when his current deal expires with the La Liga champions.
“I see myself playing football until I finish my contract,” Messi was quoted by Express as saying.
“Then we’ll talk to the club if I have to go on or not. I’m not worried.”
