Nedu explains why he doesn’t regret inviting Deeone on the Honest Bunch Podcast.
The Chinedu Nedu, whose real name is Ani Emmanuel, has stated that he has no qualms with inviting comedian Deeone on his previous program, The Honest Bunch Podcast.
Following a disagreement over a recent episode in which reality TV personality Deeone asserted that social media critic VeryDarkMan was attracted to men, Nedu departed his position as co-host of The Honest Bunch podcast a few days ago.
VeryDarkMan said that Nedu was responsible for Deeone’s accusations against him, claiming that he has been requesting his appearance on the show since 2024 and has allegedly offered to buy him a car in exchange.
Nedu announced his departure from the podcast after VDM’s counter-accusations. He said at a press event on Pulse NG that he had no regrets about bringing Deeone to the show, even if it meant losing his job, because he believes that everyone has the right to their own opinions. In his own words, he said: “I didn’t regret bringing DeeOne to the Honest Bunch Podcast. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.” He also emphasized the positive impact the show has had on many people’s lives, saying: “The show has helped many people.” At the same briefing, Nedu clarified that he wasn’t fired from the podcast, despite VeryDarkMan’s rumors.
He clarified that personal insults were the reason he chose to back off. He stated:
“Let me make it clear that the Honest Bunch Podcast did not fire me. When the assaults became personal, I made the decision to leave. So that the show can go on.”
