
Olu Jacobs, Jimi Odumosu, Ijeoma Onah, Among Industry Icons Honoured at NEMCEA 2025
The Nigerian Entertainment and Media Content Exhibition and Awards (NEMCEA) 2025 turned into a night of celebration and emotional tributes as some of the most respected figures in Nollywood and the creative industry were honoured for their outstanding contributions.
Veteran actor Olu Jacobs, late filmmaker Jimi Odumosu, and Ijeoma Onah, the founder of the Nigerian International Film and TV Summit (NIFTS), were among those recognised for their impact on the nation’s creative landscape.
The awards ceremony, which took place in Lagos, celebrated excellence, innovation, and the enduring legacy of individuals who have shaped the Nigerian entertainment and media ecosystem. Olu Jacobs, who has been a pillar in Nollywood for decades, received a Lifetime Achievement Award for his unmatched contribution to African cinema. Jimi Odumosu, best known for his classic works and pioneering storytelling, was posthumously honoured for his creative influence and dedication to Nigerian filmmaking.
Ijeoma Onah, recognised for her relentless drive in promoting Nigeria’s film industry globally, was celebrated for her leadership and consistent efforts in building international bridges for African content creators.
