A shocking moment a footballer is struck by LIGHTNING during a match has been captured. Henrique, who plays for Agua Santa Under-20s, was treated by paramedics after being hit by the bolt during a rain-soaked clash against Atletico Mineiro in the Diadema region of Sao Paulo.
Amazingly, he was able to walk into an ambulance and made a full recovery without needing to go to hospital.
Towards the end of the clash – which was abandoned – players fled the pitch as a storm wreaked havoc.
While play was stopped after a bad tackle, centre-back Henrique was struck by lightning and, after running half the length of the pitch, collapsed in the dugout.
