Section 21(3) of the Central Bank of Nigeria Act, 2007 was allegedly broken by the sons of the rich businessman.
Due to allegations of naira abuse, the sons of billionaire businessman Razaq Okoya, Subomi and Wahab Okoya, have been invited by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
The brothers must report to the head of the special operations team at the anti-graft agency’s office at 15A Awolowo Road by 10 a.m. on Monday, per an invitation letter from Michael Wetkas, the acting director of the EFCC Lagos Directorate.

 

In a promotional film for Mr. Raheem’s new song, “Credit Alert,” the two, wearing white Agbada, were seen dancing and showing off, throwing, and spraying N1,000 notes.

Section 21(3) of the Central Bank of Nigeria Act, 2007 is alleged to have been broken by the brothers’ actions.

Muyiwa Adejobi, the Nigeria Police Force spokesperson, said on Friday that a police officer who was shown in the video carrying further bundles of the brothers’ notes had been taken into custody.

At the time this article was filed, EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale had not yet returned calls or messages from Peoples Gazette to his mobile phone asking for comment on the development.
