Oparanozie Reflects On Successful Football Career
Former Super Falcons forward Desire Oparanozie has reflected on her football career.
Oparanozie revealed the good and sour moments during her playing days.
The 29-year old recently announced her retirement from active football.
Oparanozie stated that winning trophies and scoring in finals of tournaments were some of the best moments of her career.
“Well I’ve had a couple of best moments,” Oparanozie told Supersport.
“There are a lot of them, winning trophies, scoring at the finals, scoring the most important goal at the finals, those were amazing best moments for me.
“And the worst are usually injuries l, when you are on the field running and you have a muscle tear, when you’re injured watching from the stands, those were my worst moments.”
Oparanozie scored 22 goals in 35 games for the Super Falcons.
The former striker played for Bayelsa Queens, Delta Queens, Rossiyanka, Wolfsburg, Guingamp, Dijon, Wuhan Jianghan University amongst others.
She won WAFCON four times (2010, 2014, 2016 and 2018).
