Oshiomhole Mocks Atiku’s Defection to ADC, Says He Lacks Capacity to Fix Nigeria
Senator Adams Oshiomhole has taken a swipe at former Vice President Atiku Abubakar following his recent defection to the African Democratic Congress (ADC). In a sharp criticism that has sparked fresh political debate, Oshiomhole mocked Atiku’s decision, arguing that changing parties will not improve his chances nor prove his capacity to rescue Nigeria.
Speaking during a public engagement, Oshiomhole stated that Nigerians are already familiar with Atiku’s long history of party switches, describing it as a sign of desperation rather than conviction. He claimed that leadership requires consistency, vision, and credibility—qualities he insisted Atiku has not demonstrated over the years.
The former APC national chairman also argued that Atiku’s move to the ADC does little to convince Nigerians that he is capable of fixing the country’s current challenges. According to him, “If someone has failed to convince Nigerians after several trials, jumping to another platform won’t suddenly make him the answer.”
Oshiomhole’s comments have ignited reactions across political circles, with supporters and critics engaging in heated discussions online. As Nigeria heads toward another election season, the clash between political heavyweights like Oshiomhole and Atiku is expected to intensify, shaping conversations around leadership, credibility, and party loyalty.
