Patoranking, Cobinnah grace Glo-sponsored African Voices This weekend
CNN International’s popular magazine program, African Voices sponsored by technology giant, Globacom, will showcase the inspiring story of Nigerian music sensation, Patoranking. Host Larry Madowo sits down with the artist to discuss his remarkable journey from the streets of Lagos to global stardom. Patoranking, born Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie, is a renowned Afrobeats and reggae-dancehall singer-songwriter. His rise to fame began as a street performer, and he has since released several hit albums, including “God Over Everything” (2016), “Wilmer” (2019), “Three” (2020), and “World Best” (2023).
Derrick Cobinnah, the founder of Forces Help Africa, a non-governmental organization that aids needy war veterans, will also be featured on African Voices.
Patoranking has promoted youth development in Nigeria by using his position as a UNDP Regional Goodwill Ambassador. His narrative demonstrates the strength of tenacity and resolve.
African Voices’ current season began showing on DSTV Channel 401 on Saturday. Reruns will air on Sunday at 7 p.m. and Monday at 4 a.m.
