POET : GOODBYE WRITTEN BY KAYLA BROWN

I remember that it hurts.
Looking at you hurts.
Knowing that I couldn’t do anything hurts.
They say goodbyes helps, that it gives you the closure you need.
They say it will help you move on.
They lied because goodbyes only remind you how powerless you really are.
You know I still remember what you look like, that boyish smirk that was always annoying.
These days I see you in every face around me, I keep hearing whispers in your voice and they never sound sad.
I have lost sight of who I am because you where my whole world and now that you are not here, I feel like there is this darkness where you used to be.
They lie when they say time heals everything because it been years.
