Rema’s ‘Calm Down’ Rises to Fourth Place in UK Music Charts
The UK Official Singles Chart for the week of March 24 – 30, 2023 featured a few moments of excitement as a number of singles moved up and down the chart. One of the biggest changes to the chart this week was the remarkable rise of Rema‘s single ‘Calm Down’.
Moving up one place from its previous position of 5th, the single has now reached a new peak of 4th after spending a total of 30 weeks on the chart.
This success is indicative of Rema’s growing influence as an international star and shows just how much impact his singles are having within the UK music industry. Many will be looking forward to further success from Rema in the near future as he continues to deliver unique and captivating music.
Similarly, Libianca’s single ‘People’ reached a new peak of 5th this week, a two place improvement from its position of 7th last week as it spent a total of 12 weeks on the chart. This impressive ascent to the top of the chart is doubly impressive considering the single was only released a few weeks prior. As word of mouth increases and more people hear the track, there is a distinct possibility that the single will only continue to rise up the chart in the weeks to come.
On the flip side, Ayra Starr’s single ‘Rush’ dropped two places to 26th this week after spending a total of 9 weeks on the chart. Although the single has been on the chart for 9 weeks, it has not been able to replicate the success of the release’s predecessors and has started to move downwards.
