Rio Ferdinand Holds Talks With Ed Woodward Over Sensational Return To Manchester United
Rio Ferdinand could be Manchester United’s new technical director.
According to the Guardian, the former defender has met with executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward and is being considered for the position.
Rio Ferdinand won six Premier League titles during 12 seasons at Old Trafford.
The first five of those years were spent playing alongside Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who has been made United’s manager this season, and the pair are said to share a good relationship.
Ferdinand, 40, reportedly met with EdWoodward recently.
Though he hasn’t worked at a club since ending his playing career in 2015, Ferdinand still works in the game and is currently an analyst on BT Sport.
