Serge Aurier Arrested By Police For Alleged Assault Of His Girlfriend Before Defeat To Manchester United
Tottenham right-back Serge Aurier was arrested on suspicion of assault on Saturday night after an alleged incident involving him and his girlfriend.
Aurier, 26, was held by police on suspicion of ABH just hours before Tottenham were beaten 1-0 by Manchester United on Sunday at Wembley .
Aurier, who was an unused substitute for the game, denied assaulting Haitian TV celebrity Hencha Voigt, 31.
It was then confirmed by Hertfordshire Police that he had been released without charge.
A statement read: “A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of ABH. He has been released with no further action.”
A Tottenham spokesman confirmed: “We are aware of an incident concerning Serge Aurier this weekend. The player was released without charge.”
Aurier joined the North London club from Paris Saint-Germain for £23million last sum
