Media personality Shade Ladipo has issued a heartfelt apology to Afrobeats queen Tiwa Savage over comments she made during the viral controversy surrounding the singer’s leaked intimate tape in 2021.
Ladipo, who had previously criticized Tiwa during the scandal, admitted that her choice of words was insensitive and failed to reflect compassion. Speaking in her apology, she noted that everyone makes mistakes and deserves grace, especially women in the public eye who face constant scrutiny.
“I was wrong in how I addressed Tiwa Savage’s issue back then. I should have been more understanding instead of judgmental,” she said, stressing that her remarks at the time did not align with the values she holds today.
