Tems will play at the Philadelphia Roots Picnic in 2025. Lenny Kravitz, D’Angelo, and Others
Tems celebrates the 30th anniversary of The Roots’ sophomore album by joining D’Angelo, Lenny Kravitz, Meek Mill, and others at the 2025 Roots Picnic in Philadelphia.
Tems will perform at the 2025 Roots Picnic, which will be held at The Mann in Philadelphia’s Fairmount Park from May 31 to June 1. The Grammy winner, who is making his Roots Picnic debut, will perform with a stellar lineup that includes D’Angelo, Lenny Kravitz, and Philly’s own Meek Mill.
The Roots’ second album, “Do You Want More?!!!??!,” will also celebrate its 30th anniversary during this year’s festival. The Roots Picnic has been a cultural mainstay since its founding in 2007, fusing music, entertainment, and community. Over the years, it has hosted a diverse mix of legendary and contemporary artists, from Lil Wayne, The Weeknd, and Pharrell to Nas, A$AP Rocky, and Solange.
André 3000, Gunna, Jill Scott, Babyface, Sexyy Red, and a special tribute to New Orleans with Lil Wayne, The Roots, PJ Morton, Trombone Shorty, and Lloyd were among the artists that performed at the festival last year.
The event, which attracts visitors from all over the world, honors Philadelphia’s rich musical legacy and is curated by Questlove and Black Thought, members of The Roots.
This year’s program also features GloRilla, Miguel, Kaytranada, Pusha T, 2 Chainz, Adam Blackstone, and the Backyard Band in addition to Tems.
